La Ciminiera Country House is situated in Staffolo, in the province of Ancona, halfway between the Adriatic Sea and the massifs of the central Apennines.
Staffolo, situated 442 metres above sea level, is wholly encircled by Medieval walls and boasts a breathtaking view over the underlying coast.
The fertile landscape encircling the country house is known as the land of the Verdicchio wine. Famous all over the world since sold in original amphora-shaped bottles, this pale yellow table wine provided with green lights has a characteristic aftertaste of bitter almonds. The cellars and wineries producing it are open to the general public. Staffolo also hosts the Museum of the Wine Art.
